Periodontal disease is caused when plaque caused by bacteria is not routinely removed from teeth. This condition often presents as irritated, swollen and bleeding gums and can result in tooth loss.
To prevent this serious condition and maintain good oral health, we screen every patient for periodontal disease and recommend frequent and thorough professional cleanings. While most cases can be treated in our office, our dental team believes the best course of treatment is always prevention.
